How to Winterproof Your Storage With AT&S

With winter in full swing and inclement weather on the horizon, battling cold, ice, and snow is inevitable. That’s why having the right storage solutions in place is more important than ever. From storing furniture for a remodel project to protecting equipment and tools on a construction site, AT&S understands the need for secure and climate-controlled storage solutions. We have outlined 3 key features that you should consider for your storage container this winter.

  1. Insulation

AT&S offers a range of insulation options to meet your unique needs, from glue-on batting panel systems to spray foam paint insulation. Our standard solution features R-13 fiberglass insulation, supported by durable wood studs and finished with plywood, drywall, or particle board. Whether you need basic insulation or a custom solution tailored to specific requirements, AT&S can equip your storage container to perform in any condition.

  1. Heating

AT&S provides heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions for ISO containers of any size. Perfect for portable offices, temperature-sensitive storage, and other specialized uses, our HVAC systems include durable sleeve units designed for easy repair and replacement. To ensure the security of your unit, we incorporate specialized measures tailored to each model. With customizable options in size, complexity, and BTU levels (thermal unit of measurement), our HVAC systems can be tailored to your exact needs.

  1. Security Features

Due to fewer daylight hours and extreme cold temperatures affecting security materials, containers can be more vulnerable to break-ins during the winter. We provide enhanced security options, such as specialized locks and reinforced structures, to protect your materials during harsh winter conditions. AT&S containers are modified to include security features, such as lockboxes that protect against bolt-cutter break-ins and can be installed on all custom doors, including roll-up and steel sliding doors. For added protection, we offer tough security bars for windows, doors, and vents; so strong they’ve withstood a truck pull test where the entire container moved before the bars gave way.
